2009               8-MONTH INTENSIVE NIHONGO COURSE

 

1.  Objectives

To lay a solid foundation for the future study of Nihongo

To pass the Level 2 Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Noryoku Shiken)

    scheduled for December 6, 2009

 

2.  Duration

April 13 (Mon) to December 19 (Sat)  2009

1st Semester :         April 13 to July 24, 2009

2nd Semester:          August 3 to December 19, 2009

 

3.  Class Hours

Monday through Friday                      9:30 a.m. ~ 12:30 p.m.  – Classes

                                                                12:30 p.m. ~ 2:00 p.m.   - Lunch & nap Break

                                                                 2:00 p.m. ~ 4:00 p.m.    – Classes

(Total class hours for the whole course: approximately 800 hours)

 

4.  Number of Students

Eight (8) to Twelve (12)

 

5.  Qualifications

a)       To pass a written test (March 2009) equivalent to the Level 4 of the JLPT;

and to pass an oral interview both in Japanese and in English / Filipino

 

b)       To qualify for enrollment in the second semester, one must obtain 240 or more

points out of 400 in at least one of the three (3) Japanese Language Proficiency

(JLPT) Level 3 tests to be given during the first semester.

 

6.  Documents to be submitted before the written test

1)      Application form with a 1×1 picture attached

2)      Resume or Curriculum Vitae with a 2×2 picture attached

3)      Copy of High School or College Diploma

4)      High School or College Transcript of Records

 

7.  Subsidized Tuition and Mode of Payment

One hundred one thousand (P101,000) for the entire course, out of which

ninety six thousand (P96,000) for tuition and five thousand for textbooks,

 tapes/ CDs and handouts.

For Installment payments:

Initial payment of sixty thousand six hundred (P60,600) to be paid upon enrollment;

the remaining balance of forty thousand four hundred (P40,400) plus 5% add-on

 (P5,050)to be settled on or before the first day of the second semester.

 

Note: For non-Filipinos, additional fifty thousand pesos (P50,000) will be charged.

 

8.  Scholarships

1)      100% tuition waiver for qualified BSE, BSEED or Japan Studies majors who intend

to become Nihongo teachers.

 

2)      Various amounts of tuition waiver for the second semester for the qualified

TOP THREE students based on their grades for the first semester.

 

                  45,000 pesos for the 1st placer with a GPA of 95 or above

                        40,000 pesos for the 2nd placer with a GPA of 90 or above

                        35,000 pesos for the 3rd placer with a GPA of 85 or above

by studying advanced business Japanese.

            Every Saturday 1:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m.
